Tenant Check Malta was created out of a real experience, one that many landlords quietly go through, but rarely talk about.
It started with my first tenant.
The tenant stopped paying rent and refused to leave the property. The only money ever paid was the initial deposit. I tried to seek help through the proper channels, reaching out to government authorities, but the only advice I received was to hire a lawyer.
After doing so, I was given advice that didnโt feel right, actions that could potentially put me on the wrong side of the law. At that point, it became clear that there was no simple, reliable support system for landlords facing situations like this.
That frustration led me to create a Facebook group, a place where landlords could share experiences, ask questions, and help each other navigate difficult situations.
What started as a small community quickly showed how common these problems are.
Tenant Check Malta is an extension of that idea, to bring transparency, shared knowledge, and real experiences into one place.
The goal is simple:
This platform is primarily built for landlords in Malta who want to:
It is also for anyone who believes that more transparency can lead to better outcomes for everyone involved in renting.
