New Partnership

Through our partnership with Creditinfo Malta, Tenant Check Malta will be introducing additional tools to help landlords and property owners make more informed decisions, reduce risk, and take action when rental debts remain unpaid.
What this means for landlords
Tenant Check Malta will now offer added due diligence support on prospective tenants, together with access to Creditinfo Malta services for issue letters where a tenant has unpaid rent or another outstanding debt, subject to the required documentation and applicable terms.
Renting a property should not be based on guesswork. With this new partnership, our aim is to give landlords more confidence before entering into a rental agreement and more structured support when payment issues arise. The new services will be available directly through the Tenant Check Malta portal for a small service charge.
Landlords will be able to use Tenant Check Malta to carry out additional checks before confirming a tenancy. This helps property owners better understand potential risk, support responsible decision-making, and safeguard their property investment from the start.
If a tenant fails to pay rent, or where another rental-related debt is due, landlords will be able to request support for an issue letter through Creditinfo Malta. This gives landlords a more professional and structured way to begin addressing unpaid obligations.
The process will be handled directly through the Tenant Check Malta portal. To request the service, landlords will need to provide the required supporting documents.
There is no need for a complicated process. The new features are being designed to work directly from the Tenant Check Malta portal, making it easier for landlords to access tenant due diligence and debt-related support in one place.
For a small service charge, landlords will have access to tools that can help protect their interests, encourage responsible renting, and give them more confidence before and during a tenancy.
